When a company i once worked for, expressed our office outfits had to be neutrals, i would often buy white shirts in different shapes and sizes to match them with black bottoms, period. Why? Because it was easy and quick. Once it came to the weekends, i almost didn't want to have anything to do with those colors until Monday morning again. They were work uniforms. The fact is, it was just impossible. I love these two classic colors. Soon enough, i found ways to incorporate these pieces into my everyday look, especially on a beautiful summer day.
LOOK #1: Office Hour To Happy Hour
When a long day or week at work calls for some cocktails or just a time to let off some steam and socialize after work, that quick switch of outfit into chic mode status is always needed. All it takes is a nanosecond to unbutton the blazer or jacket worn over the top. Leaving that blazer behind in the car or just letting it hang off somewhere gives this white strapless crop top and black high waisted shorts i have on, a time to shine.
CROP TOP: Sand N Sun // HIGH WAISTED SHORTS: Express // HEELS: Spring
LOOK #2: Beach To Street
I am wearing a beach wear cover up top as a regular top. I paired it with a pair of printed pants for some drama and fun. The cool thing about this look is i can easily wear my swimwear (in black probably) underneath while laying on a beach or i could simply take it to streets and own it which was what i did.
BEACHWEAR/SWIMWEAR COVERUP: Elif for Jordan Taylor Resort Wear // PANTS (old): Stitches // HEELS (old): Nine West // SUNGLASSES: Betsey Johnson
