HOW I SHOPPED FOR A PERFECT FITTING BRA USING KOHL'S BRA FITS MEASURING TOOL

When the bra fits....

I bought bras that do not fit because they were either too cute to deny myself of, or i was simply in denial of my actual bra size. Interestingly, i once worked in bra fits/bra department of a well known underwear store (Hints: They call their models Angels) and if i told you 95% the customers that walked into the store, just like me, had no clue what their actual bra size was, you may either be surprised or probably nod your head because you can relate.

Now i have the amazing opportunity to collaborate with Kohl's to help spread the word, and educate women on how to determine their actual bra size for a perfect fit in just one click. Oh yes, you don't have to leave your couch or your bed if you choose not to get it done professionally at one of Kohl's designated locations for free because Kohl's has provided an online fitting tool on their website for you to use and start shopping. I used the tool, it was so easy, and today i am happy to tell you the bras i received from their bra collection feel great!! I really can't wait to start shopping for more. Watch this Bra Guide Video by Kohl's below on how to achieve your perfect bra size use and how use the  awesome measuring tool. Your life will change forever!!
After watching the video above and following the steps, you may use the fitting tool by scroll down to "Find Your Perfect Fit".  Just two easy steps to determine your perfect fit.

Amongst the bras i was sent were- The Maidenform One Fab Fit T-Shirt Bra, Lily Of France Convertible Push-Up Bra, Maidenform Smooth Tailored Demi Bra, Barely there full coverage Wirefree and Maidenform Comfort Devotions Tback Front Close. It was so hard to choose a favorite. I just couldn't believe how so smooth and comfortable they felt underneath my outfit.
While this is just an introductory post to this awesome project, i will be featuring the other bras later in details and i will show you more on how they fit because it is really cool.

Meanwhile, i wore this sleeveless pink buttoned up dress shirt out on a very busy and really long day. Being a collared buttoned up shirt, i wanted a little cleavage and the Convertible Strap Push-Up was just perfect. It felt so natural with a moderately full push, so, so comfy, especially since wearing it all day long, and super smooth underneath the fabric of my dress. Wowza!!
As light and really simple as this dress may be, i am sure every woman out there will agree with me there is that extra confidence the bra gives you when it fits so perfectly. That goes a long way.
This is a sponsored post but as always, all opinions are mine.

Thank you all for stopping by. Now your comments.

what a lovely post! bra size is something we all struggle with. I myself need a special bra for 'those days of the month' as for whatever reason I need one size bigger for that week. I agree with everything you said...bra is not important just for appearance but also for improving our posture and giving us that extra confidence!

You do look so beautiful! Amazing dress!

That is great Nerline! If you don't mind me asking, how long ago was this? Like i said in the post, I worked their once and i am sure they must have told you, you need to update it every six months, right? Do you still have that little pink card they hand to you with your bra size written on it? The female body changes all the time. It is a yoyo thing between that time of the month, before and after birth, or weight loss. In my case it has been more of some weight gain. Well now you know you can do it online with Kohls. Easy and quick. Thank you so much sweets :)

Thank you Ms Mavis born in Nigeria but loves to call Ghana home :)). I agree with you. Home is where the heart is and that is what you know.

I appreciate you stopping by and for the lovely comment. I say try it whenever you have some free time. Nobody want to have triple, quadruple boobs :)). I certainly don't and besides it hurts too anyway...hehehe.

Aww, you are always a sweetheart Katie. I really appreciate that and i always look forward to your comments. Thank you :).

Stella, my darling blogger friend, i couldn't agree with you more on the non fitting bra business. It is worse than walking in shoes that a size or two too small...maybe. Non fitting bras cause those painful boob bubbles that you just can't bear :))). Thank you so, so much!

Kohl's rocks!! Thank you so much Kelly.

Thank you Jackie :)

Aww, aren't you such a good sport :)). I know you don't need it but do share it with your female friends. I guess it will be awkward to say, share it with your sisters if you have any, but then you never know :)). Thank you so much Steve.

Hahaha, oh my gosh Ivana, it was so much fun doing the project. It is always a pleasure talking to men in general but more so about women's fashion and they were so willing and ready to spill. Thank you Ivana :).

I will have to try it out. I have never had good luck with sizing. But I am large breasted so I think it's a never ending battle.

I generally pick the wrong size, that' s a great idea!

Great post. I used to work at a bra/lingerie shop as a teenager and it was so surprising how many women were actually wearing the wrong bra size. You're looking fabulous in pink dear. xx/Madison

The body changes all the time and if you live in the States don't shy away from getting measured professionally at one of the Kohl's designated spots. I included the link in the post where you can go to one. Do you live in the States?

Busola Coutts said...

:)) Well now you can get the perfect if you use the tool. It is an excellent idea.

I know, even i was one until i started working at VS and realized it. Many women innocently don't know they are and i think the more women are aware of it, the better it will be to help even younger girls just starting out. Thank you so much honey.

So helpful. Every woman needs to know this. For another point of view, check out this video on how to find the correct bra size: http://www.fash365.com/2014/09/good-good-good-good-foundations.html

*sigh* Tools like this are why I wore the wrong bra size for years. The calculator basically just puts me in the nearest size that the store carries. My measurements are 28" underbust, 30" standing bust, and 31" leaning bust without a bra. The leaning measurement works best for estimating my size, so that's what I put into the calculator provided. It spat out 32AA. 32 bands are massive on me. They ride up constantly. The cups would also probably be too small. Bras that fit me are around 28C. The calculator refused to acknowledge that this is a legitimate size and instead threw out a number that they might sell. The same thing for the model in the video. Instead of recommending a size with a 30 or 28 band indicated by an underbust of 29, it spat out a size the store carries. You can see the band riding up on her in the video, indicating she needs a smaller band size. This is why I like this calculator better: http://www.brasizecalculator.tk/ It's not maintained by a company trying to put me into a size that they sell and factors such as the differences between tight and snug underbust, standing, leaning, and laying bust are also taken into consideration.
