THE LOOK OF WINTER IN TURKS: BLAZER + DENIM SHORTS

Yes, you read that right. I don't think I came well prepared for this trip to Turks and Caicos Islands because I was only worried about  packing my swimwear, shorts and sundresses for the hot weather, only to find out after i arrived, I was visiting during their winter season.

Say whaaat?!

Luckily, the kind of winter they experience here is nothing close to the winter wonderland we experience back in Canada. Even with the extreme hot days we've continued to have here, some really cool temperatures and strong winds hit in the last couple of days. Yeah, the weather was nice, and nice by my Canadian standards, i mean cool enough for a very light blazer  and shorts. Maybe for some others, just a t-shirt would have been perfect. I only brought this black slim-fit blazer for backup. You know,  just in case a nice formal event came up. Good thing is, it came in handy for this chilly day. I couldn't resist pairing it a pair of cute denim shorts. Come to think of it, this is totally what I would wear on a nice spring weather kinda day in Toronto.

Obviously with me smiling like this in the photos, it shows my heart was telling my face how i felt about this kind of "winter" weather. If this is what winter feels like on the Islands, ! am game.
I am wearing:
Lauren Conrad Blazer via Kohl's (sold out). Similar in business chic and twin zip pockets here
Denim Shorts (old). Similar flirty short and sweet looking pair here
Heels by Top Shop.
