Who is up for a peplum pep talk with a triple threat?
While peplum slowly took over the world years ago, i am sure you will agree with me it is a wardrobe staple today, and i am sharing three versatile ways to wear it. Who knew a top with a little flare at the bottom can be so stylish. I love this particularly peplum top by Bella D because of -
1. Its beautiful, rich, bold floral prints.
2. The darts that help give it a lovely three dimensional shape in the middle of the top which makes it so flattering.
3. Its asymmetrical hemline.
LOOK #1: MAKE IT LONG AND FLARED
Styled with a pair of black wide leg pants couldn't be more safe. It is very chic, easy and quick to put together. I can swing it from a formal look to a lunch date, and even straight to a more subdued evening look in one day. While i did opt for a pair of silver pumps i believe a pair of open toe heels with fresh pedicured nails will be just as perfect.

LOOK #2: MAKE IT SHORT AND FLARED
Let's be honest, short is in and it will always be, but what if it is flared too? The beauty of pairing a peplum top with a skater skirt is the fact that you can achieve two great looks from it- The top can either be tucked into the skirt or left out to layer over it, giving it a double flared layered look. I also do enjoy mixing prints so i went all out for this look. I would wear this to any kind of date, the movies, dinner, meetings, garden parties, name it, it works.
I tucked in the peplum here......
Then layered it over the skirt and it somehow looks like a dress....

LOOK #3: MAKE IT STRAIGHT
I have always liked the idea of a peplum top styled with a pair of straight denim pants. Probably even with a pair of distressed knee cap jeans. In my case, i am styling it with a pair of white denim pants but then i put a little spin on it by throwing on a denim jacket for those chilly evenings. I believe it dresses it down without it all looking down with the help of a pair of open toe heels.
I will admit this is the most slimming look of all three.

Love that peplum on you and I so want a floral one for my wardrobe. Enjoy!
Super cute doll, I quite like the last look, though all of them are gorgeous xx
I like the pants idea est,but they all look pretty on you.
Love the first look the most, so chic and stylish. You are drop dead gorgeous dear.

The first one is my favourite because I absolutely love those pants. I think palazzo and flare pants are always fabulous. However, I also really like the two others look.
The second is really girly and cute...and as you say, appropriate for so many things, be it a date or a stroll. I actually can't say which I like most in two varieties you offered for this look. I think the peplum top looks great both tucked in and not in this case. Either way, you look great.
Finally...the last look is really slimming, you're right! who would have thought that white pants can be so slimming. This one is really perfect and elegant...and not too casual even if it is denim, the fact that it is white makes it very chic.
You look fantastic in all 3, but the first look won my heart because it is so fresh and unexpected...I think most people wouldn't think of wearing such wide pants with peplum top but it really works!
they all look pretty but the first look is my favorite because it goes so well with those pants. the whole silhouette looks so elegant and flatters you best i think <3
well styled
i love the last outfit
this top is really versatile! I love the combo with the white pants!

There is so much your can do with that top. I love all the looks, but the first one is my pick.
Thank you so much Kizzy :)
Thank you so much.
Aww, you are such a darling Lenya. Thank you :)
Aww, Ivana dear, you are ever so sweet with your comments. Always one to look forward to. Thank you for your lovely insight on all three looks. So true, who knew white could be that slimming:))? Even i was surprised when i saw the photos later and i realized, hmm, this just took a few pounds off me. Thank you so much.
You are so lovely. Thank you so much :)
Nice. Thank you darling!
Thank you so much Carmen :)
I agree, it can really be worn in so many ways. Thank you Lu!
Hahaha, i will say, i actually did like it over the skirt better too. I think is it was a solid colored skirt like black, orange or white and fuller, it would have been perfect. I just need to get one of those short full skirts soon. They are so elegant. Thank you so much.
Very well said :). Thank you so much.
You are the best :)). Thank you once again Katie. It really means a lot.
Hahaha, i know, right? It took me a few years after it swept everyone off thier feet before i finally warmed op to it. So long as they have that nice fit then i am good. Thank yo so much Aileen :)
Apparently there is a lot you can do with a peplum. Thank you so much Nerline.
