I love the holiday season. Isn't it obvious?
This particular shoot happened on a very, very windy day and it didn't matter what i did or didn't do, i just couldn't hold it together. We walked into an open area at the Distillery District with the biggest Christmas tree beautifully decorated sitting right in the middle of the food court. There were lamp poles on the sides all carefully decorated with Christmas decors. I was excited and i walked to pose right next to one of the poles acting all giddy. Two minutes into the shoot, i reached for the pole, and the rest is history. Don't worry clothes didn't come off, but it was obvious i could feel the holiday spirit in the air and i just went with it.
Maybe a maxi skirt is winter weather friendly or simply safe because it worked out well for me on this day. While trying not limit myself to wearing only colorful pieces or trying not to follow suit with only dark colors for winter, i think finding balance is always a great way to maximize pieces in my wardrobe. I styled this bold geometric print sweater with a full black maxi skirt for a quick and easy look, great for any day, anywhere holiday type event, party, dinner and more...minus the wind.
